Jira and Xray Cloud
Connect Jira Cloud and add Xray test-management capabilities.
Add a Jira Cloud integration with your Atlassian account email and API token. Use the correct site origin and an account permitted to access the intended project.
Xray is an optional capability on that Jira connection, with separate Xray Cloud client ID and client secret. It is not a second standalone DataMaker connection. Jira authentication succeeding does not prove that Xray is configured.
Verify reads first
Ask the agent to locate a known Jira issue or Xray test in the intended project. Check the issue key and returned test design before using it to build data requirements.
The integration supports Jira discovery and issue operations plus Xray Cloud test, test-plan and execution workflows. Use the deployed tool catalogue for exact actions and required inputs. This integration guide does not cover Jira Server/Data Center or Xray Server/Data Center.
Connect test data to execution evidence
Use a reviewed DataMaker scenario to prepare the data a test needs. When publishing an execution result, identify the correct test and execution context and report the actual outcome. Creating or updating an issue and importing execution evidence are writes to the external system; review those actions separately from reading a test.
The built-in skills include guidance for turning a scenario into an Xray test and publishing execution results where available.
Troubleshooting
Check Jira project permissions separately from Xray credentials. If Xray reports it is not configured, add its credentials to the Jira integration. If authentication succeeds but a test is missing, confirm the project/query and the account's visibility before creating a duplicate.
