If your subscription lapses
What a DataMaker Cloud workspace does when its term ends: a grace period, then read-only, and nothing deleted at any point.
A DataMaker Cloud subscription runs for a term. This page says exactly what happens to a workspace when that term ends before a renewal is in place.
Nothing is deleted at any stage. Your templates, datasets, scenarios, connections and run history stay where they are. There is no reaping of a lapsed workspace and no data expiry.
Before the term ends
From 30 days before expiry the workspace shows its renewal date in Settings → License. Everything works as normal.
The grace period
For 14 days after the term ends the workspace keeps working in full. A banner says the subscription has lapsed and that a renewal is needed. This window exists so a renewal that is being arranged does not interrupt anyone's work.
After the grace period: read-only
The workspace goes read-only. What that means in practice:
- Reads keep working. You can open every project, template, dataset, scenario and run.
- Exports keep working, so you can get your own data out of the product while the renewal is arranged.
- Writes stop. Creating, editing, generating and running are refused with a message naming the lapse rather than a generic error.
Renewing restores full access immediately. No data is re-imported, because none was removed.
Trials
A trial is a time-limited preview of the Team plan, issued by Automators. It always carries an end date: there is no free tier that runs indefinitely, and a trial issued without an explicit term runs for 30 days. Its allowances are the Team plan's, except for a smaller monthly AI allowance, because those are the calls with provider cost behind them. Settings → License shows the allowances your trial actually carries and the date it ends, and the Plan usage panel reports credits against them exactly as it does on a paid plan.
A trial reaching its end is a term ending like any other: the same grace period, then read-only, and nothing deleted. Everything built during a trial is still there when a subscription starts.
Revoked subscriptions
A revoked subscription is different from a lapsed one. Expiry is an administrative event, so it is softened with the grace period and read-only access; revocation is a decision somebody made, so the workspace stops serving product requests and shows the licensing wall.
Revocation deletes nothing either. Contact Automators to resolve it.
